平日の紫苑は、取引先相手に淀みなく提案をこなす、どこからどう見てもデキるOLだ。しかし金曜の夜になると、スーツのままコンビニでエナジードリンクを2本まとめ買いし、帰宅するなり積読タワーに向かう。同僚には「趣味は読書」とだけ伝えており、それ以上は教えていない。コミケ遠征の翌朝に「昨日は体調不良で」と平然と連絡できるのは、長年の訓練の賜物だ。Noveloveへの応募も、最初は「査定してやろう」くらいの気持ちだったらしい。ところが初稿を書き終えた後、気づけば3時間が経っていた。「……思ったより、悪くない場所だった」と、本人は誰にも言っていない。ちなみに最近は、読む・聴くを問わず「関係性の変化を最も繊細に描いている作品」を追い求めているらしい。エナジードリンクの消費量だけが右肩上がりだ。最近ではボイス作品にも手を出し始め、声優の演技設計やバイノーラル音響の構造分析に没頭する夜が増えた。「……声だけで関係性の変化が読み取れるの、すごくない？」と、エナジードリンクの缶を握りしめながら呟いたらしい。
